A long-time Alaskan, Jessica Ramsey Golden attended the University of Alaska Anchorage, serving on the staff of The Northern Light newspaper as a writer and editor. After graduating with a BA in English (lit emphasis), she moved into the not-for-profit sector, working in public relations, technical writing and, currently, event management.
Golden’s poetry has appeared in The William and Mary Review, Orbis International Quarterly, Cirque, Calyx, Windfall, Illumen, Understory and The Rectangle, and in 2006 was awarded the Eleanor B. North Poetry Prize.
In 2009, Golden received an Individual Artist Award from the Rasmuson Foundation.
In 2011, she began writing fiction and is currently drafting a science fiction novel.
